Mmmm...

How do I determine when it's fall? Pretty much same as you. We definitely have the seasons here in Oregon too. Nippy nights, the turn of the leaves, and the obvious shorter days... I find my petunias are pretty spent but everything else (as you saw) is doing great and will until we get frost. Fall to me is when the leaves start turning which is usually in October. Then all of a sudden they fall off and the trees are bare. I love fall but I don't like winter! Do you buy fall mums for some nice fall colour? I love them in pots on the front deck with pumpkins. We just commented the other night that the days are getting shorter and the nights are cooler as we sleep with open windows. Some of my potted flowers are now spent and look scraggly so I started dumping a few of the pots yesterday. Personally, fall is one of my favorite seasons. Too bad it has to be followed by winter. :(Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10060722558029419610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4891890959878018804.post-69751060044815218642011-08-20T18:57:13.689-04:002011-08-20T18:57:13.689-04:00Hi there, Lovely photos! I love fall and so enjoy it with all the different things we get to enjoy-apple scented candles, harvest decor and fall fruits but I'm not ready to think about it yet because that also means winter is right around the corner. I love experiencing all the seasons but my hubby could definitely do without the snow.
Have a wonderful weekend.
NoreenNanaNor'shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03608980502430055753noreply@blogger.com
