I don't know about you, but I find myself still puttering around decorating when I should be cleaning instead! But I do have the excuse that I don't want the second batch of TV mix to burn like my husband said the first batch did. I didn't think it tasted burnt. And I did notive that DH was able to help me eat the botched batch. But he's a real trooper like that!
This is really the last thing I'm decorating today. Well, other than the tree. I guess I didn't tell you
it's been in the house since Sunday, but I've been waiting on DH to help hang the lights. Tonight,
he says. I'm good with that.
I have a roast cooking on the wood stove for vegetable soup. I'm cooking as much as I can ahead
today. I'm trying cranberry/orange muffins for the first time. Has anyone ever made these? Have you got a favorite recipe to share?
Remember this handsome fellow? Well, if he comes knocking at your door,
don't slam it in his face! He works for UPS and is only delivering goodies
to your home.
Pitter Patter-I'd better get at er'!
Have a great day-Kimberly
No more decorating for me - I'm starting to dream of when I can take down the tree on Monday, LOL. Chasing ornaments down all day is starting to wear on me.
ReplyDeleteLove the little accents you are playing with....and I have a UPS man in my life as well, my son in law...they all work extremely long hours and we are hoping he will join us at Christmas eve dinner...thanks to those diehards!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me smile everytime I come, here, your blog is lovely, and to think I live 20 minutes from you is still amazing, most of my blogging friends live thousands of miles away and some across the ocean in cou tries all over the world, your photos are lovely, I recognize the Falls and the beaches, Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteThose poor UPS boys have been working overtime delivering to my door. They must think I'm something else. It's actually that my home has become Christmas Central for the entire family. I've got quite the sorted piles waiting for each of them.
ReplyDeleteYou really must get to decorating the tree. Hope that it happens tonight! (And don't forget to try the tea strainer.)
Everything else is looking terrific!!
I think I'm done with the decorating. That is funny about the tv mix being eaten all up, even the burnt stuff!

ReplyDeleteI don't live where those photos are from. That is where my husband and I raised our four children. And is where my daughter wants to move back to and raise her children
I live in Canada now and have for the last 10 years. But I still live on Lake Superior. Now I'm on the north side. When we where in the UP we lived on the south shore.
I guess that was a little confusing
Sorry!
Your decor is really lovely! I love red and plaid and ginger bread cuties!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
Your decorations are lovely. I gave up decorating last week once the tree went up. The rest of the house is minimal. One trip left to the grocery store then some extra cooking tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas
I wish you a very merry Christmas Kim! We're going away tomorrow and I won't be blogging for the next week though I may try to check in a time or two. All the best! Hugs, Pamela
ReplyDeleteI'm still puttering too and also should be cleaning. I still have baking to do..yikes! - Here's a recipe from Food Network, I haven't tried it though.

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours! :D
Have wonderful day. I do make those kind of muffins all of the time because they are my husband's favorite, but I just use the recipe in my Betty Crocker cookbook that I got 31 years ago for muffins. I just add the orange and the cranberries.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you have a wonderful Christmas and it all sounds so nice and cozy.
Merry Christmas!
Hi there, I loved seeing your last minute Christmas decorations-they are darling. Hearing that you are putting your tree up tonight reminded me of my childhood, but we also left it up til mid-Jan.
