Hold on to your hat girlfriends, because this lady is back in the game! What do I mean by, 'back
in the game'? I mean no more digging into the darkest dungeons of my photo collection to try to
find something that I've never showed you before. I mean no more 're-visiting' trips down
memory lane hoping and praying (well, almost) that none of my faithful followers will drop me
because I'm no longer fresh and interesting anymore. This all came about because an angel
totting a camera came to visit me!
higher than they appear in this photo. And just having the sun beat down on them for a short
time has caused some sections to begin cracking and developing holes. Eventually more cracks
develop and big hunks of ice break off, and float around on the lake, until the sun melts them
away. It is still too early for that yet.

My SIL brought my MIL back home from her visit down south. The above photo is of Janie,
myself, and my MIL- Carol. A sweet photo of Mother and Son.
What you are seeing here is what in the summer is our rocky beach. The ice/snow cliffs are evenhigher than they appear in this photo. And just having the sun beat down on them for a short
time has caused some sections to begin cracking and developing holes. Eventually more cracks
develop and big hunks of ice break off, and float around on the lake, until the sun melts them

Here is a close-up view of the sink hole. I love the way the snow sparkles in the sunlight. It looks as if God has taken a bottle of glitter and shaken it all over
the snow. It always makes me think of the song, 'Our God is an Awesome God'.
And that sizes up my weekend. I hope yours was as enjoyable as mine was!
Blessings,
The snow is gorgeous...we haven't had any to speak of here this winter... barely even over night freezes for that matter.
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Mom and Son is sweet...glad you've got your camera back... although, I don't think our readers would drop out because of that... we like your content!
take care-
Pat

ReplyDeleteHurray that you have a camera to use! I'm glad to hear you had a good weekend too. The sparkly snow is really beautiful. It looks mighty cold there. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about all that stuff...bloggers know that it's just a matter of time before something goes awry in their world. What a gorgeous teal color in that lake water! You all look happy and c.o.l.d.
ReplyDeleteWow! Those photos take me back to when we lived on Lake Huron and then on Lake Ontario - I'll be the ice sounds scary when it cracks! Beautiful photos of all of you!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking just exactly what Vee said. That everyone looks cold but happy! Nice photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos...especially of mother and son. Treasures.
ReplyDeleteSo, that's what snow looks like! Many of us in the states are having the winter that wasn't.'. I would enjoy one snowfall.
Those snow pictures make me feel cold! It's been really cold where I live with snow on the forecast for a few days. Nothing has happened yet, but it feels like it will. No snow yet this winter, so I'm kind of hoping for it, but then again, I'm in the mood for spring too.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about your posts. We all know things happen, and it's probably more healthy that you got a little break anyway. Glad to know you'll be back to normal though. Have a great week!
Glad you got some pics! It looks beautiful there :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love the sparkle of the snow! We sure didn't get much this winter and my grandson feels cheated! I'm at a lull in blogging right now, just don't have too much going on here. I'm going to post when I do have something and hope I don't lose the few readers I have.
ReplyDeleteI am amazed to see so much snow there! You all look so cold! Glad the sun was out for a bit.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason it has been hard for me to find fodder for my posts. as well. Maybe it is the winter doldrums!
Burrrrrrr, but beautiful! The snow pictures are so pretty. We don't get snow but on a rare occasion. Love the family pictures, great for the memories!
ReplyDeleteBrr.. I need a coat right here in my computer room after those shots. Of course, they are just beautiful. I'm still jealous. A house on the lake...
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
I love the photo of you and your SIL and MIL by the lake and the one of your husband and your MIL. It looks very cold there but also so bright and sunny. The snow is really glistening so beautifully. Enjoy your new camera!
ReplyDeleteThese pics make me miss the days of growing up on Lake Erie in northern Ohio!
ReplyDeleteLove all the happiness :)
Thanks for this!

Wow - look at all that snow! Still beautiful though!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty...this shows part of creation I really haven't experienced...what a creative God we serve
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sparkly snow, but everyone looks COLD standing out there!
ReplyDeleteI miss the snow! Your pictures of family together are so great. Where do you live? I used to visit the North shore around Duluth and loved it there. I even have several books on it. I used to go up in the Fall and it was SO beautiful! SO glad I found you and I noticed there are other bloggers who I know commenting on your site! Great minds travel in small circles! To have a house on Lake Superior is so awesome....they don't call it "Superior" for no reason!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, I just grabbed a blanket!! It looks sooo cold, the snow is sparkling like it is magic! Glad your back in business with a camera!
ReplyDeleteCarol
Great photos! You people look cold, but I love the pictures! Especially the one where the snow is sparkling.
ReplyDeleteI love to see snow sparkle like that, but it usually means it's pretty cold to do that! Those are great family pictures!
