My trip down to Michigan to visit our g'son, Javan, was indeed
'short, but sweet'. When Emily and I discovered that Javan's
spring break was the same week as her children, we knew we
wanted to go!
We spent a lot of time swimming, but discovered a nature park
that was located not far from our motel too. This photo is of
Javan and Lambert on one of the many downed logs they
traversed.
It wasn't just the 'little' ones that got a thrill out of playing
circus either!
Starlet wasn't quite sure she was going to cross this log standing.
It was a good 5' off the ground. But little brother, Lambert,
was there to encourage her.
Star was really happiest when she found flowers she could pick!
You see that big leafy one? Well we soon discovered once we
were in the car, that it must be what's know as a 'skunk' flower!
Stinky, for sure.
Can you see the Canadian Goose nesting on this mound? We
almost walked right past it.
I can't begin to tell you how special it was for me to have this
time with the g'kids before we shove off to the Yukon. Before
leaving we went to Javan's home where he put on a piano
recital for us all. He is doing so well!
It's so good to get back home. I'm hoping I'll have time to drop
by to visit and see what all of you have been up to lately.
We will be leaving
early Wednesday morning. I've got a feeling our lives going
to be like a whirlwind of change for a while. My greatest
comfort is in knowing that wherever I go the Lord goes
with me.
Have a great Monday-Kimberly
It looks like you had a lovely time. So glad you got to see the grand kids.
