I should probably have titled this post The
Ghost of Christmas Past.
As my thoughts turn towards Christmas decorating this year I'm looking back at years gone by to gather a few ideas.
(And really to help me remember what's buried in those totes marked Christmas down in my basement!)
I am sharing my previous two years deck photos with you also because nearly everyday someone is repinning them.
I guess they were kinda cute!
Here is another Christmas vignette from our log home kitchen.
And lastly, a hot cocoa Christmas tray.
Dear Friends, if you would like to use any of my Christmas ideas please feel free to pin any of them!

your log home decorations were beautiful and your new home will be as well, I just know it will be!
ReplyDeleteEvening, oh I love the first picture and the second, well all.... I really like the rugged Cabin look, those old thermos are great....Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteNothing says Holidays like a hot cocoa tray? Or in my case, an Irish coffee tray. Xox
ReplyDeleteI love all the beautiful red plaid. I'm looking forward to seeing your decorations this year, but I'll be scrolling back to see what you have done in years past too :)
ReplyDeleteI love your outside vignettes Kimberly. They are perfect for a cabin or cottage. The tray of hot chocolate goodies is sweet too. Great inspirations in each of your photos. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThey sure are cute! I love those plaid thermoses!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are sure putting me in the mood to decorate! Won't be long now. And your lovely pics have given me a couple of ideas. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI remember that first photo! How awesome to put a tree in what looks like a vintage minnow bucket, LOL. We need to start dragging out the decorations and start to put things up very soon!
ReplyDeleteKimberly,
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done!!! We haven't even started to decorate here.
Maybe this coming weekend, it's suppose to be real cold here then.
Love the thermoses, I never would have thought of that but it's the perfect pop of red. Maybe the skates I picked up at a rummage sale a few years back with the intention of putting on my feet will be better used as a Christmas decoration. I just tried to find you on Pinterest but couldn't. What name do you pin under? My board Rustic Christmas might be up you alley too.
ReplyDeleteHello lovely Kimberly :) Everything looks so charming! I can't wait to decorate for Christmas, but my hubby and I are in the process of moving into a new home right now so I am not sure if I will get anything up besides the Christmas tree in my new home. I will certainly enjoy looking at your pretty decorations :) Have a wonderful week! Hugs
ReplyDeleteKimberly,
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so pretty! I especially love the 'Let it Snow' skates and scarf image; charming!
Happy decorating!
Poppy

ReplyDeletePinning the ice skates. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteI love this look...even for Florida! I have ice skates this year to do something special with. I can't wait to decorate! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed these photos! Love the idea of the cubbies for the Mason jars. What was stored in them? I too need to go through some boxes and see what I have that I could use for Christmas decorations! :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty, cheerful pictures Kimberly! I love the ice skates. That looks like it belongs in a movie from the 40's.
ReplyDeleteOh, no wonder those pictures of your deck are being pinned...they are both charming! Although the indoor pictures are great too! You are a cheery decorator!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely ideas. I think they are amazing.
ReplyDeleteYour place is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteSweet post -- last year in AZ I found a 5 dollar Christmas tree at a garage sale and it severed us very well and a wreath for the door was 5 dollars-- but had to leave them behind - no room in the rented car. So my Christmas decoration are at a big 0 ...
ReplyDeleteThis season it's going to be huge blast of fun gathering decoration again... wish I was near garage sales -- not any in this tiny tiny town of Dutch John - wink! I could shop on line I guess - right? I see ebay has a few Christmas trees for sale.. But it's all good - it's not the number one important thing to be concern with -- but it's fun..You do give me inspiration!
Hugs
Cute, cute, cute! I may be one of those people that have pinned your gorgeous décor pictures!!
ReplyDeleteI love décor that can serve for Christmas, and last through Winter until the end of January.
I'm starting to gather my ideas for Christmas/Winter décor as well.
Thanks for sharing.
Warm wishes..

ReplyDeleteOh, I am a plaid lover! A bit mad about plaid! lol! In fact, I did a post today about plaid. Afterwards I pulled out my thermoses and started to decorate the porch. I love all of your vignettes! The jar holder is so clever also!
