Well, here it is Ladies, my first repurposed tablecloth project.
A T-Towel!
Here is a closer look.
I chose to do this all by hand.
I wanted the flowers to stand out a bit, so I hand-stitched around each one.
The whole project was done in only two evenings time.
Easy peasy!
Thank you all for your suggestion for other Vintage Tablecloth projects!
I am now trying to decide what to do next..
Here is a photo of a really cute clothes pin holder from Etsy.com

And what about these lamp shades?
I could see one of these on my kitchen counter.

Lastly; a very pretty ottoman cover.
Are you working on any sewing projects right now?
Or are you lucky enough to live were you are enjoying getting a little dirt under your nails gardening?
I'm busy working mornings but my afternoons and evening are free right now.
I'm trying to work on a few sewing projects and hopefully spend a little more time reading.
Have a great weekend, friends!
Kimberly

ReplyDeleteIt turned out so cute! You'll have fun with any of these projects! I think I'll sew today! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour tea towel looks great! I like the other projects you listed here too. I love the cheery bright colors and all the flowers on those old tablecloths.
ReplyDeleteIt is just beginning to be gardening season here. In fact, I am hoping to get out and buy some plants today.
Oh I love it. Soo cute. And I love the lamp shades too. You know me of course....projects pilled up. How I love to see what others are doing. Hope you keep us up to date. Enjoy your week-end!
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for the clothes pin holder (maybe because I need a new one.) Your tea towel turned out perfect.
ReplyDeleteNo, but I need to be. I like the lampshades...must check that out!
ReplyDeleteGah! I LOVE the tea towel with the flowers standing out a bit. It looks darling!
ReplyDeleteWell done! It looks like you're having a lot of fun with your vintage table cloths. I love the clothes peg holder and ottoman cover - so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'll take ONE of each.
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe two.
ADORABLE!
Kimberly, You making some of the cutest things with your fabrics. I love the clothes pin holder. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it-That turned out really cute and is extra special because of the stitching around the applique. Darling really!
ReplyDeleteI think I need to make one of those clothes pin bags! xo Diana
Peg bag, my pick of the bunch, and yes, I am doing more 12.5 inch blocks to add to the ones I did some years ago, realising that 9 were nowhere near enough to make a quilt, unless I added more colours and did very fancy settings. I want it set square, and just one sashing. Photos to come soon. I'm so glad you have hours in the day for yourself, Enjoy. Cheers, Jean.
ReplyDeleteI love your tea towel Kimberly. It's really pretty. The other ideas are cute too. I've been working in the yard the past 2 days. Well, part days. I have my gardens pretty well cleaned up. My body is killing me though! Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour tea towel is adorable. I love the old vintage tablecloths, and that is a great way to recycle the old ones. Thanks for sharing!
