Hi Friends, I know I said I would be more regular in my posting and I'm trying-I really am!!
As you can see we have gotten a little bit of snow here and the lake hasn't frozen over yet, so I wanted to get some shots of the beautiful blue waters to share with you before it turned to ice.
Now this photo is for my MIL.
I'm sure she loves to see a photo now and then of her sonny boy-Ha!
He seems to look very deep in thought, doesn't he?
I hope he's not thinking about how he can throw me in that lake!!!
No, just kidding.
I'm sure that thought would never cross his mind.
I did get a couple more mittens done this last week, as I have sold two in the gift shop now.
I am waiting now for an Amazon order to arrive with some Aida cloth to start a cross stitching project I want to do . I can't show it to you because it is going to be a gift for someone who might happen to read this blog post!
It has been many years since I've been interested in doing any cross stitching, but I have found so many beautiful patterns on Pinterest now that I can't resist putting my hand to it again.
If you haven't looked at my Pinterest boards lately you might want to check my new Cross Stitch board out.
Here is an example of a very cute sewing cross stitch pattern that I've pinned...
And how about this beautiful deer pattern?
Now I know you're going to fly over to my board right now because you can't resist it....
The real problem for me is choosing just one, there are so many lovely choices these days.
Well, I'm all talked out for now.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Kimberly
Those are gorgeous photos of the blue waters! Wow! I haven't been on Pinterest for a long while. It eats up too much time when I do go on there. Haha!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow! He does look deep in thought there!! Nice photo!
ReplyDeleteBrr. It looks cold there Kimberly. I like the first of the two cross stitches you showed and will visit your Pinterest page too see them. I used to cross stitch all the time and made many of them but not any more. Have a nice weekend! Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteOh my...I look and love all the vintage ones you've pinned. So cute!
ReplyDeleteI used to love cross stitch, but my eyes just can't take it anymore. Still love to sew though, and I've been pinning upcycled clothing idea..just cannot wait to try some. Pinterest is too addictive!
ReplyDeleteTerri and I are singing the same song...can't do it anymore it bothers my eyes so. It is good to know that you are enjoying it and they are very pretty patterns.
ReplyDeleteHi Kimberly, You are so brave to go out near all that cold stuff. I like your needleworks. very pretty. Take care and be safe. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful blue that water is, its so nice your Mother inlaw reads your blog, good to connect that way, lots of snow here, too much, too soon!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue water. Sunny and cold is a stunning combination.
ReplyDeleteI used to cross stitch but I never enjoyed it very much. Did a few things for gifts and one piece for each of my children. I prefer embroidery. Your cross stitch patterns look wonderful.
Great view and photos! We might get snow here Sunday night and we are at least 30 degrees C below normal for this time of year. Alaska is warmer than we are right now. We're usually in the 60's and it hasn't gotten out of the low 30's all week.
ReplyDeleteI AM going to go see your cross stitch board right now!
Have a nice weekend!
I love your photos...they look brrrrr cold! And the cross stitching will be nice. I like doing hand stitching in the winter time, or crochet! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a view! I have some treasured cross stitch pieces and look forward to seeing more of your board and project.
ReplyDeletesuch BEAUTIFUL pictures! I can't imagine such a view! I never did learn to cross stitch...love it though. Hope all is well. Enjoy your week-end!
ReplyDeleteI'm freezing just looking at all of that snow and ice. You'd probably think we're a house full of wimps with the heat on and it's 50 degrees!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful is the water against the snow!!! I'll admit is also looks cold, burr! All I can say is have fun with the stitching. Stay inside and stay warm!!!!
ReplyDeleteburr look as cold as it does here.. and beautiful too! Hey next time put your camera on the timer and step in with your sweetheart - wink!
ReplyDeleteI'll stick to kitting - or painting and sketching - wink! But I did drop into your board and I am following you..
Hugs
Oh, I wish I had a dollar for every cross stitch that I have done! I'd be a bloody million or kazillionaire! The deer pattern is quite nice. I have a bunch of aida and linen cloth in my fabric stash. Ah, but my eyesight has gotten terrible in the past few years, especially this one when I had the retinal tears. I don't even know if I can do it anymore because of bad eyesight. But I will go wander over and look at what patterns you have pinned!
ReplyDeleteIt's sure pretty there, Kimberly! We are very cold and wintry here now, too...it's so early for it!
ReplyDeleteEven though it is winter and cold, there is such beauty in the landscape :)
ReplyDeleteCross stitching sounds like a perfectly, cozy, winter-time craft.
Happy cross-stitching.
K.
Sounds like you're doing well Kimberly! Just wanted to stop by and say howdy and wish you a happy holiday!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous your picture's and your pinterest bord Cross Stich is beautiful I follow you. Take a look on my blog greating from the Netherland Tiny
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from you and see what you are up to Kimberly :>) I did cross stitch years ago, so many pretty patterns and so little time!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I just bought some fabric at Walmart today that you use to cross stitch over any fabric and then when you're done it dissolves in water and you're left with your stitches on whatever fabric you want.
ReplyDeleteI already follow you on Pinterest but I had not seen your cross stitch board. Ooh la la! Yes, so much a person wants to do!
