Lost Sheep Found

 

A Story of My Lost Sheep, Now Found
 
Tell me dear friends, are you like me?
Do you decide you're going to de-clutter, then pack  many of your décor goodies away in a box never to think of them again? In fact, you just completely
forget that you ever even owned them.
 

This is sorta how I lost my sheep.
Two years ago we moved into the house that we are presently living in. Of course the first thing I had to do was paint, replace flooring, sew curtains, and so on and so forth. So somehow those poor little sheep that were packed in a box for the move never did get unpacked.

My husband has been working on turning a spare room in our basement into a livable space. Many of the boxes from the basement have made there way to the garage, but many more were brought up to me to go through before they were taken to the resale shop.
Yikes!!
 

I'm just so glad I ran across my old sheep collection.
They not only make me happy to look at.......

 
but are also a reminder to me of my Good Shepherd-Jesus!

    Yes, I've done that too. I used to have a lot of sheep around the house but gave them to the thrift store. I still have a couple that I liked best. A new room to decorate? Sounds like fun. I hope you have a beautiful weekend.

    I have some sheep for the same reason. To remind me who is the good shepherd, and I am a sheep.
    I love how they look now at home. I am sure glad you didn't loose them.

    Yup. All the time. Sometimes I wonder about where things are now...I have no clue. Currently, I don't know where the key to my china cupboard is. It was always kept in one special place and has now walked off. This is a problem. I am glad that you checked the boxes again! Perfect reminder of the story that the gospel is all about!

    Maybe that's why I like sheep too. I have a print of Jesus stretching out his arm to rescue a sheep that is lost down in a gully with no hope of getting out, no ability to grasp his hand. Fits my theological perspective. And I love your little sheep! I would have hated losing them too! I have a few on a shelf, some I got in Yorkshire, and love them. Now I'm thinking I need to give them a more prominent position in the kitchen. Please take that sheep out of the meat grinder. Makes me nervous. LOL

    Our lost items are those we put in a special place so we remember where they are...we lose many things that way!

    Oh yes, I can identify with this post. I recently found something that hadn't been unpacked from our move 3 1/2 years ago, and I put it into a safe place - now I can't remember where that might be.
    Your sheep are sweet and a great reminder of God's good care for us.

    I think I must be the world's worst at misplacing things. One nice thing, though, about finding things you've forgotten about is that it is just like getting a gift!
    I'm happy you found your sheep, they certainly are a wonderful reminder how we all need our Shepherd!

    Oh my goodness I do that too. So happy you found this cute sheep. Are you familiar with the Wallace and Gromit claymations? They have a friend named Shaun the sheep. Your sheep reminds of him a bit. Jesus our shepherd is a lovely addition to this wonderful post. Hugs!

    I do love sheep. I sometimes pack things up and find them years later, it's kind of fun finding something you love that you had forgotten about!
