Hi Friends!
Would you believe me if I told you that I celebrated my 60th birthday on Christmas day and forgot to tell you?
It's true. I was kind of busy at the time with our oldest son visiting with his three little children for the holidays. And I have to confess to feeling a tad awkward mentioning my own birthday when someone who is far more important than myself
**JESUS**
birthday is celebrated on this day too.
I did take the time on this MONUMENTAL occasion to put together a small pictorial of my life, mainly for my children. I thought I would share a few photos with you also.
Have I changed much?
Don't answer that please!
In all honesty, the road to to sixty has presented a few bumps and heartaches along the way.
Hopefully it has helped to strengthen me and caused me to grow.
I believe that's Gods plan for our lives!
I do feel I was blessed to have had the two most wonderful parents (in my book) a girl could have, lucky enough to have found a husband who I plan to grow old with, and pretty smashing in-laws to boot! Oh, and I don't dare forget to mention the four children and nearly ten grandchildren that have brought me so much joy, and just a few headaches too.
I pray this New Year has been a good one for each one of you thus far. I know that there are some who are battling with sickness and disease, and I'm praying for you. I know that there are some who are dealing with unemployment. I'm praying for you too. I also know that I'm not the only person praying......This is what is so wonderful about our blogging friends, they care.
I think I've done enough rattling for today. I'm going to try to be more faithful in posting. This is not a resolution, just something I would like to get back on track with again.
Good bye & blessing-Kimberly
What a fun time to have a birthday! But my hubby and I both have birthdays close to Christmas so we know about the funny part of it too....one present for both Christmas and birthday and holiday gift wrap. You have not changed my friend. You still look very young and pretty! It's fun to look back and see our kids grow up and change over the years. Happy birthday hugs to you!
ReplyDeletebelated birthday wishes,,,what a beautiful collection of photos! You haven't changed!
ReplyDeleteyou and I are the same age! I think our children are about the same age too!!
Happy recent birthday to you! It must be very special to be a Christmas Day baby and you do look beautiful, 60 looks wonderful on you!
ReplyDeleteA bit late, but heaps of love and all good wishes for your day. Photos, what a wonderful album, changed, not a tad, Lovely as ever. Enjoy this year, new challenges I am sure, and weather that we might like or not, snow or sunshine, whatever the day brings, we cannot change that one little bit. I am so thankful to have you in my life as a true dear friend. Hugs. XXX

Love this peek into your past. Happy Birthday!!! I know two greats born on that day now.
ReplyDeletePrayer is a wonderful tool. I could not have survived Hubby's "almost got a heart transplant" with out all my blogger friends. I was crying as I wrote to many and asked for prayers. Well, it worked. Hubby became too well for a transplant and doc said that never happens.
The power of prayer is amazing. Thank you.
Happy 60th! I'm just a few months (well, about 10 of them) behind you. Loved the pictorial recap - you look great at every age!

Happy Belated Birthday! Yes, you are indeed overshadowed by Jesus on that day but there's plenty of love and good wishes to go around for all those others born on Christmas Day! Especially to you and no, you haven't changed much at all. You and Tim look like babies getting married! Or is that because I am so old...I turned 67 Monday. I wish you good health and happiness dear friend and many more birthdays to celebrate!

ReplyDeleteLove these pictures! Happy belated 60. As an update on my sun oven it was 20* and windy today but I was able to cook one of our chickens to perfection between 10 and 2. I was very pleased!
ReplyDeleteYou spring chicken, you! No, you have not changed much at all! You look beautiful! Hope that your birthday was a happy one.
ReplyDelete(Now I am realizing something here. Your blog slipped off my thumbnail roll. This happens with blogs all the time, but I usually find out sooner than this. Putting you back!)
