I enjoyed the full post on your new blog but I didn't get a comment box to come up. Just an error message. You know I LOVE lavender and would enjoy having some fresh bundles! Hugs, Diane
Kudos to you, Kimberly! Your lavender is lovely, both in its fresh and dried forms. Oh, I can imagine that gorgeous scent. What delightful gifts you will have for all your lucky recipients!
Kimberly, love harvesting lavender as well. This year I didn't get to mine in time. I just cut it all back a few weeks ago, so I'm hoping it will bloom again. It usually does. Love your drying rack. I have an old metal piece that I hang mine on. I have bundles from last year still hanging on it. Love the look of dried lavender. hugs, Jann
My lavender is just beginning to flower, but I'll use this method to catch the flowers as they dry. I use my dried lavender in my homemade vegan soaps! :-) Our climate doesn't allow us to keep lavender plants in the ground and expect them to survive the winter. We have to plant fresh each year. sigh.
Morning, oh I love lavender, that smell is so heavenly. Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteI bet it smells wonderful!

ReplyDeleteHi, Kimberly! I love lavender as well! Nice to see your blog!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has several big pots of lavender--maybe she's too busy to harvest hers and might spare me some. Heavenly!
