While browsing through the fabric shop for a new bed comforter (yes, they sale all kinds of other home decor products too), I ran across this bright and summery lime buffalo check fabric.
I knew for the low sale price on it I had to have it for our new living room curtains.
Next I found this coordinating bird of paradise fabric that also has the burgundy of our leather couch and the lime green of the buffalo print.
This will be used for sofa pillows.
My original plan was to cover the leather with a white sofa cover, but after much research I couldn't find one that would fit the sofa properly. And I sure wasn't going to pay $500. for a custom one when my plan is to replace all of the living room furnisher next year anyway.

It was a gorgeous sunny day here today.
It was such a thrill to see the sheets flapping in the wind again
and then tonight we'll enjoy their sweet freshness at the days end.
Now I'm wondering what's happening in your neck of the woods today?
Are you working in the garden or doing a Spring housing project?
Or maybe, like me, you're just relaxing and enjoying
the long awaited sunshine.
Finally!
beautiful fabric,

The fabric is beautiful and the buffalo check is going to make gorgeous curtains. Today I was trying to paint a yard sale mirror but got the boxboard I used to protect the mirror part stuck so I gave up for today. Also planted a few pots of flowers for the porch.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty fabric, and it will go when you change your furniture over to white also.
ReplyDeletenow all of that sounds fun...pretty fabric
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful fabrics Kimberly. You'll have fun whipping up curtains and pillow covers with them. We had our first thunder storm of the season at suppertime today. It was a doozy! The weekend looks a bit sunny but not too hot yet. In the mid-teens. I hope you have a lovely weekend. Blessings, Pam
ReplyDeletesuch beautiful fabric, I was in Fabricland in the Sault today, It was a beautiful day, warmer and less windy today, I hope you are well, you have some lovely projects on the go by the sound of things,
ReplyDelete(Would you believe that I'm still in the bedroom taking it a chunk at a time? Today was a bookcase. The afternoon I spent working on a sewing project that I finally tossed into a corner. The day was sunny and bright and so it was a little like being in a tree house.)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty fabric, elegant or trés chic even. I can see the sheets blowing in the breeze and oh how wonderful they'll be. I love clean sheets fresh from the line day. (I don't have a line, but I remember.)
Pretty fabric!
ReplyDeleteToday I shampooed the carpet in our bedroom, preparatory to pulling it out. I know, it doesn't make sense to clean it before pulling it out (we are going to take it to the dump), but since we are doing it ourselves, and we all have dust allergies, I thought it would be good for it to be as clean as can be before we handle it.
It was pretty gross.
