Hello Friends
We are right down to the wire now. It's Wednesday night and we have the truck loaded Friday morning.
Whew!
I am putting my video of the geese that flew by over the lake
on Memorial Day as I promised I would. Play it if you'd like.
It won't hurt my feelings if you don't.
Like I told my husband I sound like a ten year old, not a lady who's pushing 60. He just laughed and said that the voice on the video sounded exactly like mine.
Thanks honey, just what I wanted to hear.
Click above to see video.
This photo of the bear is blurry because it was dusk and I ran to get the camera but I didn't have time to make any adjustments on it.
After all, I wasn't sure how long he was going to hang out in the yard.
There is a little story behind this bear sighting. And you can laugh if you want or you can say that ladies really wacko.
I can take it...
But for at least the last two weeks I have nearly daily told Tim that it was going to be hard leaving here, but if I could just see a bear one more time before I go I'd be happy.
And, lo and behold, on Memorial Day evening he shows up.
Yes, you know where this is leading....
I happen to believe this little bear visit was a gift from God.
I do believe that he cares about even those silly little things in life that make us happy and bring us joy, don't you?
Here's an unusual photo. Do you see the bear?
Somehow the packed boxes were reflecting on the window as I was taking my picture of him.

I hope this finds you all well and enjoying the somewhat late Spring.
I'm off to catch up now on your post.
Blessings-Kimberly
You crack me up!
ReplyDeleteI watched the video the loud but invisible geese.
The bear was a God thing, for sure.
Moving day...wow...double wow!
Praying for a smooth move and safe arrival.
Good luck with moving day!...and be careful that you don't take a bear with you by mistake!
ReplyDeleteMorning Kimberly, love the video, thanks and how great the bear came one last time to visit, love that....I sure will miss your wildlife pictures and stories.....Happy Moving, Francine.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! You got an AMAZING picture of the bear blurry or not! And it is a total God thing! I love that He puts such personal touches into our everyday lives. I am sure it will be hard to move from this beautiful spot, but I just know God has many more (though different of course!) "moments" in store for you in your new home. Good luck on the move!
ReplyDeleteI so agree about those little gifts from God...and I wish you the best on your new adventure. May God bless you with "bears" of all kinds to cheer up your day.
ReplyDeleteMay you see His hand in this move and the joy He has in store for you.
Peace for your trip.
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree that God is in the littlest details of our lives and cares enough to grant that wish for you. Now to watch the video which I didn't see before I commented. Blessings to you on your moving day and weekend. Hugs, Pam
ReplyDeleteKimberly, That proves that God is listening. I don't think I could be so calm seeing abear near my house.Yikes.
ReplyDeleteYes, the rose you saw on my blog was listed as a hybrid tea rose. I just hope it grows. xoxo,Susie
What a perfect gift. Yes, I do believe He cares for us in these gentle, surprising ways. And now you have a really interesting picture to remember His care.
ReplyDeleteYour video is adorable (wow, those geese) and I know what you mean about having a hard time hearing your own voice on tape. But you don't sound 10, you have a lovely, melodic voice and I would be thrilled if that's how I sounded when I hit play! :)
Blessings, Debbie
Gosh! I hope that that doesn't mean that the bear is going with you! =D
ReplyDeleteMy grands are making the faces now, too. Drives me bonkers. How will we remember how handsome they are if they keep doing that?!
Oh, I might have married your husband if I were you just for his accent, too. Just sayin'... Ha! It's a great one.
Love hearing your voice, too. You sound youthful and that's a good thing. The geese could definitely be heard! What a sight and sound that must have been!
Hi! I'm so far behind and can't find any of your older posts? Where are you moving to???
ReplyDeleteBest wishes and Safe travels :-)
Hugs!
That bear looks huge!
ReplyDeleteThat bear looks huge!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your favorite bear stopped by to say goodbye. Moving is hard work and emotionally draining. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI really do believe the bear was a God wink! And a sign that your move is the right thing.
ReplyDeleteI remember when we moved here and I wasn't sure we should have left our old school district where the kids were doing well. One morning I was standing at the kitchen window praying about it and I looked down on the patio (it had rained and we have a walkout basement hence "looking down") and there were a dozen or so bluebirds frolicking in a puddle of water! God knows how much I love bluebirds, so I took that as a sign. I haven't seen that many altogether since then!
That's a huge bear and I'm happy you got to see him one more time. I'm praying that your move goes smoothly.
How wonderful that you got to see the bear again! That is a neat picture with the reflected boxes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a thrill to see the bear... What concerns us, concerns God. HE cares about the smallest details of our lives and I do believe (with you) that God sent you that bear...
ReplyDeleteWow...I would love to be there. So very pretty and the wild life just makes life even better...
Blessings,
shug
Well tomorrow is moving day. I loved your video. You have a nice voice. You also have a nice family too. I am so glad God let you see the bear. What a nice sweet thing from the Lord. Now you will be on a new adventure. I can't wait to see and hear all about it.
ReplyDeleteI hope your move is a good one. I do think God answers some of our small wishes sometimes-just because. I am so glad you got to see a bear one more time. It is hard pulling up your life and moving on sometimes, isn't it? I am off to watch the video- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteNever wacko -- I can see my self in you -- so if the word fits I am wacko too!! Blessing from heaven -- indeed sweet and I believe such words are heard more often then one might think.... see you saw your bear..
ReplyDeleteFun video..about the voice sounding like you -- umm -- ha! All in fun!
Hugs
What a treat for you to get to see your bear before moving. Hope the move goes smoothly. Check in when you can.
ReplyDeleteHi Kimberly,
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see your family on the beach, the water looking very blue, I might add, to watch the migrating geese. Good luck with your move; hope everything goes smoothly!
Poppy
Isn't it amazing how loud the geese can be? I could hear the geese!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are enjoying your last few days there on the lake and isn't it just like our wonderful Saviour to send a bear along before you leave?
Happy moving!
Hugs, Cindy
I don't think you are crazy. I think it was meant to be. I'm glad you got to see the bear one more time. Good luck with the move.
