Do you ever feel like you don't know if you're coming or going?
I have to admit that buying this house has made me realize just where I'm at in my life.
I realize that I no longer have the desire to tackle Big projects.
You know like whole house re-dos!
Please feel free to use this pattern. They are my personal property.
I'm wondering when I will ever see the light at the end of the tunnel!
I so long for the morning when I can get up and not put on my paint clothes.
I long for the day I can work on a fun sewing project or just sit in my screened in porch and read a good book.
My pattern again.
Well what a whiner I've become.
But now on a pleasanter note, Tim and I are heading to the states for a wedding.
We will be stopping at our daughters and her family on the way down and one of our sons
family on the way home.
I really think this break is just what I need. I expect just stepping away from all of the work for a while will help to revive me.
And I can hardly wait to get my hands on those Grandkids!
Now for an up-date on the house.
1) the kitchen floor is in
2) the new stove has arrived
3) the new faucet is installed
I'm basically done there except for some tweaking with the décor.
Outside, the shutters are painted and they look great.
I still need to paint the interior front door.
And we need to lay the flooring for the side entry way.
Oh, and the garage needs re-painted (long story).
After that, we're done and then I can do more fun things-like blogging!
Morning, I think we all feel like that at times Kimberly, pulled in every direction........Love those patterns, beautiful.......Enjoy seeing your family and have fun at the wedding, yippee!!!! Francine.
ReplyDeleteYep, definitely time for a break...Enjoy your time away...like my mom always said, "It will all be there when you get back." Actually. it really does sound like you are on the home stretch..and just think, then it will all be done and sooo nice. HUGS
ReplyDeleteOh that poor cow!! How did she ever get in that position?? You certainly have been busy lately and I hope you will enjoy your visit to your daughter's and the wedding. You deserve it! Have fun. Laugh. And don't worry about the things that still need to be done. Safe travels. Blessings, Pam
ReplyDeleteSafe travels for you.
ReplyDeleteHope you are nice and rested when you get back...and like Debbie already said...
'it will still be there when you get back'.
Besides, what's the rush,right?
Pat
When I was young, I think we redid our houses every other weekend. Now that I am old, I haven't painted this one in 12 years. I cannot believe that. I don't know what happened but after we built this one we live in now I just have never wanted to do that again.
ReplyDeleteI need to badly, but Oh well, I would rather play with my grandkids too.
Have a lovely trip and I hope you see lovely colors on the way to the states.
Enjoy your break and your family. Have a safe trip.
Have fun on your trip! That poor cow is just "hanging around" Lol
ReplyDeleteKimberly your patterns are awesome -- wouldn't they be beautiful in a redwork quilt ? Oh to have the time to stitch them -- they are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time in the states -- nothing like letting the grandchildren bring a smile to your face and peace to your spirit!
Hugs,
Karen
Oh that poor cow! Yes, I have felt that way before :) Sounds like you are getting much accomplished on the house - yay! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Ha! What a great cow photo! I do feel that way. Although what keeps me from doing our needed projects is a lack of funds, not a lack of interest or desire or even time. We need to do so much to our old (1901) house.
ReplyDeleteYour patterns are so beautiful. I am learning how to embroider, but it is slow going...
Your patterns are gorgeous, I want to do several of them. Thank you for them.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to keep going day after day at our age, I know exactly what you're saying. Have fun with those grandkids.
Hugs, Cindy
Your a busy woman to be sure!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great trip lov'in up those grand kids...
Hugs!!
...and embroidery! You have accomplished so much! I am ashamed of my slothfulness. Have fun on your break! Watch out, kids, Grandmama is on her way! ; > They must be getting excited, too.
ReplyDeleteKeep plugging along, it will all be over soon and you can enjoy all your hard work.
ReplyDeleteI don't have the interest in starting big projects that I had when I was younger either. I hope you enjoy the wedding and getting to visit your family and grandchildren! :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely old patterns, do you have to travel a long, long way to the wedding? It'll be great for you to have some time away, meet the families, and enjoy company. Good time to travel, not too hot, not too cold, just right, maybe Goldilocks had the right idea. Enjoy, cheers from Jean.
ReplyDeleteLovely patterns . Hello from Southwestern Ontario near the shores of lake Erie . I popped over via Pamela's blog . I love your blog, am now following and look forward to seeing and hearing how things are up in your neck of the woods . Chilly and windy here today , the weather has been a mixed bag of all sorts this year ! Have a good weekend !
ReplyDeleteLove that first picture - I know just how that cow feels!! LOL You make me tired just thinking about all you have done. You're getting there!
ReplyDeleteJudy
I love the patterns. Have fun with those grandbabies.

Well, it sounds like things are moving along there, Kimberly. Glad that you are getting a break though. You certainly deserve it-that's for sure. Enjoy your time away and I am looking forward to seeing some finished photos- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteKimberly,
ReplyDeleteThat is a big undertaking so it is good you are taking a little break. Have fun.
Kris
Your not a whiner! So stop that. I love coming here and reading your updates. Blessings
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel! I am looking forward to the day that I can just putter in the garden, read a good book, update my blog etc.
ReplyDeleteMy master bath is almost finished. Yeah!
You've gotten so much accomplished and there is just a little more to go. You'll get there! Enjoy your trip with your family and have fun!
ReplyDeleteLook at all you have accomplished is such a short time!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't painted our kitchen since we moved in and it's been two years!
Go and HUG to kiddos!
With a long list of projects like that, no wonder you are tired, LOL! Hope you have a nice little trip and a break from the chores.
