We gather together to ask the Lord's blessings;
He chasten and hastens His will to make known;
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing,
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.
This has truly been a blessed day. I'm thankful for all the bounty the Lord has blessed
us with this day and every day. He is so good. Amen.
Happy Thanksgiving! I'm try to remember to count my blessings every day.

ReplyDeleteIt is the Friendly Village by Johnson Bros in England. Each dinner plate is a different scene. My blogger friend, Vee, inherited this same set and tells me it is from the 1940's. My MIL and I split a 12 pcs set we found at Salvation Army for $50. It is just the kind of dishes I've been looking for, for some time!
Happy Thanksgiving Oh Woman From Canada! That is one of my favorite china patterns although I don't own a single piece...but I do love it! I hope you had a wonderful, yummy food-filled day! xo Diana

Happy (late) Thanksgiving. Beautiful table. The trees are getting so pretty, too. AND, one of my favorite hymns. :)
ReplyDeleteOh does this make me think of my mom. She uses those same dishes for Thanksgiving every year when we all gather, and she also leads us in singing that wonderful hymn. Thanks for some wonderful memories.
