I Woke With Good Intentions

Today (Friday) was one of those days were all my good plans came to not!
I had intended to get up, put on my painting clothes and start the big job of painting my whole kitchen.
Yep, everything....
The cabinets, the wall, the table and chairs, and the china cabinet.
The plan is to take my kitchen from this....
To something that looks more like this!
But that was not meant to be.
Without going into a lot of uninteresting detail, I'll just say all my plans were blown to pieces.
I ended up getting dressed up, made up:(,
and then spending almost all of the day away from home AGAIN.
I did manage to find the time this evening to order Return to Cranford. So I feel as if I've accomplished something today!
I know it's hard to imagine, but Tim and I just finished watching Cranford series for the first time.
We loved it and decided we had to see how it all progressed and finally ended.

Now friends, would you do a favour for me?
Would you please become my bloglovin follower?
I highly doubt that blogger follower will disappear, but because I don't want to take the chance of losing you to Never, Never Land, I have attached a bloglovin button at the top left side-bar of this post.
When you post it will go directly to my e-mail.
So simple!
Well here I am after midnight watching Miss Marple when I should be sleeping so I can get an early start on that painting job.
But I rarely do what is the sensible thing to do.
Maybe someday I'll grow up.
One can only hope!

  1. I have never heard of Return to Cranford? but it sounds good. I would love to paint my cupboards, but I am afraid for some reason. I am anxious to see how yours turn out! Enjoy your week-end and happy painting!

  2. I have never watched that series. Is it anything like Downton Avvey? I will sign up for your bloglovin' xo Diana

  3. I'm excited to see the kitchen transformation. It will be stunning! I loved Return to Cranford!

  4. I don't feel so bad after reading the first 2 comments. I don't know anything about Return to Cranford. We don't own a television (by choice), so I was very late to Downton Abbey. Is RtoC on netflix?

  5. you and I have the same taste in programs, I'm not sure about blog lovin but I'll follow you anywhere!

  6. Already a member of the club! Oh my. Sorry to hear that your plans went up in smoke. Another day will be better suited for the task. I couldn't get into that series, but my niece told me that one must commit to the first two episodes of any series before anything good comes of them. She may have a point.

  7. That will be a beautiful kitchen. I just loved that series. Such a joy to watch. Have you read the book? The part about that cow is hysterical. They show it but not like the book.
I hope your day is filled with lots of painting dreams.

  8. I have added you to my Bloglovin' list, hoping you will add my site that way too :)
Hope you get some painting done over the weekend.

  9. I have you on my blog roll, so I won't lose you!

I haven't heard of Return to Cranford, I'll have to look it up!

We painted our dark cabinets white when we first moved it - it made such a difference in our small dark kitchen. We later painted them chile pepper red :-) !

  10. I already moved you to bloglovin:). I hope you get started on that kitchen project. Your inspiration pic is perfect. I love everything about it.

  11. I hope you got some painting done today Kimberly. That is quite a task you have taken on but it will look so much brighter when it's done. You have a great inspiration photo. I haven't heard of that TV series before but it sounds delightful. Happy Canada Day!

  12. Okay, hopefully I did this right so I can continue to be your blogging followers...I enjoyed the Cranford series too..

  13. I am soooooo behind the times. What is the Cranford series? Looks interesting.

    Happy Canada Day!

  14. Isn't it funny (or not so funny) how we get side-tracked a million times a day? Best wishes on your kitchen project! And yes, I do follow you on Bloglovin'.

  15. Plans have a way of being changed whether we want them to or not! Good luck with your painting project.
