Forget Me Not

This evening I wandered out to our backyard to gather a small bouquet of one of my favourite Spring wildflowers-Forget Me Not.
It was a beautiful evening.
However, the mosquitoes and black flies were wanting to have me for  their supper.
So I didn't  stay out very long.
I did manage to get Tim's Grandparents clock unpacked and placed on a shelf today.
A big accomplishment, eh?
Several of you have asked for photos of the house, but I just don't have it put together yet.
I guess I'm getting slower in my old age!
But I can show you a shot of our backyard leading out to the alley.
We have our own little bridge that crosses over a small creek bed, which is full of Marsh Marigolds right now.
I hope someday to plant a vining flower over the arbour.
And look what else we have.
A visiting fox.
I couldn't believe it when I say this fellow across the street this morning!
Do you think he's followed us from Goulais River?
Or maybe he just called a relative of his and told him to drop by to see how we're making out.
Whatever the case may be, we've sure enjoyed watching him!

I want to say a big thanks to the Sherri and Pat for instructions on how to change my banner!
It may take me a while to collect the photos I want, but I will get it done-someday.
Blessings to all-Kimberly

  1. Oooh, I LOVE your forget-me-nots! One of my favorite flowers! How nice of Mr Fox to stop by and welcome you to your new neighborhood. We had a fox family set up their den under our neighbors deck a couple of years ago. It was so fun to watch their sweet babies play.

  5. I love forget-me-nots too. Yesterday I cut mine back as they were going to seed and they spread like crazy. Hopefully they will have a second bloom in July. Your bouquet is sweet and I love that old clock. You have a beautiful backyard onto the alley. You will have fun gardening and discovering what the previous owners may have left too. Cute fox! I'm sure he was making sure your were okay. Have a great weekend Kimberly. Hugs, Pam

  8. Forget me nots are a wildflower there? I love them but I have to buy them at the nursery and plant them to enjoy them! What a blessing to have Mr. Fox there to welcome you just as you had Mr. Bear to send you off..

And I loved your stubble post. It's true that often we allow our minds and our lips to resurrect the stubble and often we are the only ones that really recognize it as such. Thanks for the gentle reminder.

    Blessings, Debbie

  9. Oh it is so pretty. I love your view. How wonderful to have your own little footbridge.
That looks like a nice healthy fox.
His coat is so pretty. The ones out here are so covered in fleas they look chewed up.
I love all of the forget-me-nots you found. My Mom had a clock like that, my brother has it on his mantel. I can't wait to see pictures of your new house.

  15. All that and a fox, too! Yes, being older is a work-out. Ha! True. Do you remember the days when you could clean the entire house top to bottom, bake a cake and slap on some supper and fall into bed exhausted to do it again tomorrow? I do. Now I just putter. The clock looks lovely with the forget-me-nots...
