Household Tip of the Day

With the holiday season upon us we can expect that someone is going to just drop by without calling. You know, to bring us a tray of Christmas cookies
or a holiday gift.  This household tip will not only
give your guest an understanding of why the house
is so messy, but may also award you with a hot supper dish for your poor sickly self.
My own added tip of wisdom:
Keep your housecoat handy to throw on.
It always helps to look the part!
Cheers-Kimberly

Another tip I read somewhere was to always keep your hat, coat etc right by the front door. When the bell rings quickly put on your hat and depending who is ringing the bell you are either just going out for an appointment or just coming in.

  10. Ha ha, I like this! I have been known to pull my vacuum out real quick like I was just getting ready to clean house! Now, no one can see my car in the garage, so I just don't answer the door!

  11. Hilarious! I must get out my get well cards immediately because the Christmas bomb has gone off in my house! We are in the middle of decorating and it seems like we have done nothing but make a HUGE mess so far. :/

  13. I love it!
One good thing about living in the country is that no one drops in! Our friends always get lost and call for directions, so I always get a few minutes to whisk around.
