Looking Back at Downton Abbey

 

Do you ever go back in your blog to see what was happening in your life a year ago?

I have to admit I don’t often do this, but today I was curious if I had posted any Winter photos so I could compare then to this years photos.

But no, there were no Winter scenery photos.

Instead I discovered that February 18, 2013 must have been the day after Matthew of Downton Abbey had died in that tragic automobile accident.

Obviously I am watching the show again. But with only one more show left I’m wondering just what drama Julian is going to leave us with this year.

 

I’m really clueless and

I’m hoping that we’re not going to find Bates being accused of murder again.

Tell me, if you watch the show, do you think Mr. Bates murdered Mr. Green?

I don't think he did!
I just can't imagine that Julian is going to put us through another Bates trial and prison saga.

Julian, What Were You Thinking?

Today while shopping in Wal-Mart with my husband I happened past a center aisle book rack.

I had no reason what so ever to stop there but something caught my eye. It was this.....

Yes, it's a book about  Downton Abbey. How could I resist browsing through its pages?  But do you see who I saw right there with all of our favorite characters?

Second from the left, ladies.

Oh yes, you see her now. It's Shirley Maclaine.

I nearly layed an egg right there in the store.

No! No! This can't be happening to my favorite program for all time. Well, nearly all time.

And that is why I'm asking Julian just what in the world were you thinking!

She's been cast as Cora's mother.

But frankly, I don't think Cora looks too happy about her as a mother. Do you?

Does this look like a happy face?

I don't think the Dowager looks very happy either.

I'm sure you've already gathered that I am not a big fan of Shirley Maclaine as an actress. However, in all fairness I'm going to withold any judgement until I've watched the whole program through.

Right now I'm just counting the days until Season 3 begins on January 6th. And I'm in great hopes that someone gives this evil couple their just rewards this time around! What do you think? Will they continue to get by with all their shenanigans?

I sure hope not!
