Porch Decor

One week ago last Sunday we got our 1st decent snowfall. Tim and I  took the opportunity to go out to gather the greens. Don't ask me why, but I just
can't get in the mood for holiday decorating until
there is snow on the ground.
Here I am attempting to cut the wee tree for the deck.
However, in the end, it was my husband who ended up doing all of the cutting!

It was such a gorgeous day all around. The beautiful snow, the bright sunshine, and our lovely Lake Superior!

  2. A big thank you for showing us the lake, beautiful!

I understand why you can't get into all the glitz of Christmas. Maybe this year is the year to focus more on family and God. We have kept ours simple and I find it wonderfully freeing.

    Merry Christmas Kimberly!

  9. Hi Kimberly, Love the photos of the new snow. We have only had one storm-about a month and a half ago but snow is predicted for tonight and tomorrow. I've enjoyed the mild weather but would love a little bit now. Have a joyous evening.
    Hugs, Noreen

  17. I love those decorations at the door! How cute! Is that minnow bucket, LOL? If we waiting for snow, then we'd be celebrating the holidays in January or February - or not at all! Gosh, it's been really warm here. Wore a t-shirt for most of the day. But I'm not complaining because the gas bill is low this year!
