Porch Decor

One week ago last Sunday we got our 1st decent snowfall. Tim and I  took the opportunity to go out to gather the greens. Don't ask me why, but I just
can't get in the mood for holiday decorating until
there is snow on the ground.
Here I am attempting to cut the wee tree for the deck.
However, in the end, it was my husband who ended up doing all of the cutting!

It was such a gorgeous day all around. The beautiful snow, the bright sunshine, and our lovely Lake Superior!
I am partying at:

  1. It does look like it was a gorgeous day. Cute decorations on your porch! :)

  2. A big thank you for showing us the lake, beautiful!

I understand why you can't get into all the glitz of Christmas. Maybe this year is the year to focus more on family and God. We have kept ours simple and I find it wonderfully freeing.

    Merry Christmas Kimberly!

  3. I think your door decor is just perfect. I love how you put the plain thermos's right there. Never seen that done before and I LOVE it.
What a beautiful picture of the snow and the lake.
I hope you are doing well.

  4. Kimberly, I love the decor at your front door. Those old thermoses are great! Wonderful photos and the one of the Lake is gorgeous. When does it freeze over?

  5. I love the use of the old thermos containers on your porch. The last photo is gorgeous.

  6. Hi Kimberly, I'm the same, gotta have snow to make it feel like Christmas.......I also love your greens in the old thermos, looks great.........Blessings Francine.

  7. If we had to wait for snow in order to decorate....there would be No decorating...Can I envy your part of the world for just a moment? I would LOVE to have snow here...
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around your place.

  8. Just beautiful!
I too cut greens but I try to do before the snow not as wet.

  9. Hi Kimberly, Love the photos of the new snow. We have only had one storm-about a month and a half ago but snow is predicted for tonight and tomorrow. I've enjoyed the mild weather but would love a little bit now. Have a joyous evening.
    Hugs, Noreen

  13. Snow would certainly be nice for Christmas...but can't remember the last time we had any at Christmas.
I like all your decorating. The picture of the lake and the tree are beautiful...looks like fun getting your tree!

  14. Your porch is so charming! And the view at the lakeside is just enchanting! Oh my...to live near such beauty!

  15. I love that last picture. It is just simply breath taking.

  16. The lake is beautiful and I'm getting cold just looking at your photos. Love the porch with the plaid thermos!

  17. I love those decorations at the door! How cute! Is that minnow bucket, LOL? If we waiting for snow, then we'd be celebrating the holidays in January or February - or not at all! Gosh, it's been really warm here. Wore a t-shirt for most of the day. But I'm not complaining because the gas bill is low this year!
