Just A Wee Chat...

I thought tonight I would just chat with you a bit.

I am guessing that many of you are very busy readying yourselves for Thanksgiving.
I am really looking forward to reading your post featuring your celebrations!
It's such a wonderful time to spend with your family that I think it is well worth all of the work it is in the end for all of you.

Easy for me to say...
It won't be requiring much work here at our home this year.
We have Turkey leftovers frozen from our Canadian Thanksgiving celebration.

I'll will be throwing a pumpkin pie together however because all of it had gotten eaten, of course!
Mainly by me..

I did a little dilly dallying with the Christmas decorating today.
I haven't brought out any totes yet.

I did have a few decorations in the utility room cabinet that were easy to access so I did display a few Christmas items in our kitchen.
I must say that it is looking quite cheery in there now!

I still have not heard one Christmas Carol yet though!
No, I'm not lying.
I always wait until the first of December, otherwise I tire of hearing them by the time Christmas day rolls around.

What about you?
Are you listening to carols already?
Do you have a favourite one?
Mine favourite one just happens to be,
 'Carol of the Bells'

Have a good Wednesday my friends.
 And don't work too hard!
Blessings-Kimberly

  1. I did some decorating today but not everything yet. And I haven't listened to Christmas carols yet either. We'll cook a nice meal and enjoy the day! Sweet hugs!

  2. Thanksgiving will be a little quiet this year. Only one of the three kids and family will be here. But I'm so thankful for them but they are not turkey fans. So it will be ham this year.

One of my favorite carols is Shake me I'll Rattle by Cristy Lane. Of course I love them all. Our radio stations stared playing carols this week so pretty hard not to listen on the way to work.

Enjoy you left overs and that pumpkin pie!!

  3. Love your festive header!

I am a fool for Christmas music. I started off the drive down here to City House listening to a radio station out of Vancouver B.C. that has already started playing them and then switched over to a Seattle station and when I started losing that station, switched to the Portland one...ahhh, Christmas music for 4 hours straight! xo

  4. I'm all decorated here and I have been listening to Christmas carols too. Our choir is doing a concert in December so we are learning some new Christmas songs. I need to practice. :) I love Christmas and all the decorations and music. I love Chris Tomlin, Third Day, Casting Crowns and Lincoln Brewster's albums. And I also enjoy the old favourites by Bing Crosby, Tony Bennett and Michael Bouble. My favourite carol to hear is O Come All Ye Faithful. Have fun getting your decorating done!

  5. What a sweet reminder to take it easy during the holidays...and not rush!
You are so sweet to think of us...'me'. I felt like you wrote this post right to me.
You are a sweet heart. Can't wait to see your decorations. I love this time of year.
I like a lot of different carols... I particularly love watching the old Christmas Classic movies. My favorite
"It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart
I like to watch "Heidi" with Shirley Temple and of course...
    not so old (but classic)
National Lampoons "Christmas Vacation" with Chevy Chase.
    Quirky...I know.
    Have a wonderful Wednesday, Kimberly.

  8. I did all my Christmas decorating on Monday. So glad to have it done and the house nice and clean. I didn't do much this year, my boys don't care so why bother. It's just more things that I have to dust. I must confess I hate Christmas music, and it starts in the stores around her right after Halloween.

  9. Pumpkin pie sounds so delish.
We'll be having a pumpkin pie, and a candy bar pie, and a banana cream pie with our Thanksgiving dinner this year.

It is a wonderful time of year!
New memories to be made, and cherished, and blessing to count and be grateful for.

Yes... we've had the old Christmas carols playing. Oldies, but goodies. White Christmas, The First Noel, and Silver Bells are my top three favorites :)

    Warm wishes, and happy decorating.

  18. It's hard to believe that December is here, but I'm ready to start decorating for Christmas now. I've never been one to start too early as I like to enjoy the fall season as long as possible. I'll put on some Christmas music and get started as soon as I can get the hubby to bring those heavy totes up from the basement!
