Party and Patterns

I am joining Shelia at www.notesongs.blogspot.com for her Chickens and Rooster party. I don't collect
either, but remembered I had two pictures up in the kitchen hallway.

After investigating every angle possible on-line I've discovered that there is no feasible way to protect
my patterns. And now that they have been posted on Etsy I don't think they can be edited. I'm wait-
ing to hear back from them. But I doubt it's likely there is anyway of changing my site now. So my
plan now is to show samples of a few of my patterns here and if anyone is interested they can leave
a comment or e-mail me and I will re-activate the pattern long enough for  their purchase. It is
super simple-it just takes a click and it's done. That way my patterns won't be left on 24-7 to be
copied, but the buyer can see the whole sets and buy still. All patterns are sent PDF so you would
receive them that same day. If this is as clear as mud to you, just e-mail me and I'll get back to you.

There are seven of these adorable kittens. One for each day of the week.

These are doll t-towel patterns. There are seven of them also. I've never seen this sweet pattern anywhere before. Price-$7.99
A lovey Dutch couple for each day of the week.

WW2 Soldiers for any proud patriots. I don't have anyone in a military family, but I thought these would be a cute gift for a soldiers family . Price for seven-$7.99
That's it for today. I apologise for the sloppiness of this. I was just thinking next time I'll try a different
way of arranging this. sigh ........I have so.....much to learn! Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday-Kimberly

  1. Well, you have more roosters and chickens than I do! They are very cute in profile :). Good luck on protecting your merchandise.

  2. I love your patterns and hope you will find a way to post them securely. Have you looked around to see if anyone else has them posted for sale and how they did it?

  3. Oh your two pictures of your roosters...I did a whole post on my chickens...one of them was the one you have on the right...mine are all in pictures or statues.

Love your patterns..sorry you can protect them somehow

  4. You will get things figured out eventually..it just takes time to do something new. That is one of my main goals this year...to learn more about the computer etc to move my camping / trailer business forward...the way of the future is networking...you have a good start!

  5. I have heard that you can sell directly from your blog. Here is one link on How To - http://www.ehow.com/how_2276640_sell-handmade-jewelry-using-blog.html

Here is the Bing.com page also, so you can look at other links.

    Hope this helps. xo

  6. Good morning! Sure hope you figure out how to sell these patterns. They are just adorable. My mother has made dish towels for years and years. Every new bride gets a set...believe it or not she has got some of these patterns. They are REALLY fading though. They are soo cute made up. I can't ever look at these things without thinking of her. Hope you have a good day! HUGS

  7. We are a Tyson family so I have a lot of chicken stuff too, love yours! I think you are onto something and just pull the ones from Etsy. I have so many of the ones that Mom did years ago, before she even married. They are precious to me!

  8. Oh, those are some pretty paintings you have and I'm so glad you brought them to my party! :)
Sorry about all the grief your precious little patterns have given you. I have lots of embroidery patterns and have copied some from the internet. But never from where they were being sold! You're making me want to pick up my embroidery hoop again!
Thank you so much for coming to my party.
    You are the sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  9. I came across your blog from Pamela's playingwithmycamera blog. It's lovely to meet another Canadian. I will add your blog to my Canada Blog Hop if you are interested. I hope you get the issue with your patterns sorted out. Have a great day.

  10. I like your photos of the chickens. Your patterns are so cute, they remind me of some my mother had. I still have a few. Hope you figure out a good way to sell them and get lots of orders!

  11. I'm so sorry you put all that effort (and some $) into Etsy and it didn't work out. Your patterns are really cute!

  12. Thanks for the email. I have added your blog to the list. Hopefully you will get some new visitors.

  13. I'm sorry, Kimberly. I know you must be disappointed... There are thieves out there unfortunately... We have been getting some of our pictures 'lifted' by people calling them THEIRS. The watermark will help --but not totally keep them all away!

    Good luck with your selling...

  14. The patterns really are wonderful and I'm just so sorry for the confusion in the sales department! Maybe you could put a simple reminder with picture in your sidebar. I know it won't have the exposure of Etsy but...

    Blessings, Debbie

  15. I am so sorry about your pattern experience. I just wish there was an easier way.
Your two little chicken pictures are cute. I have three of our very own girls out in our back yard. Chickens make the sweetest pets. :o)
    Have a wonderful week.
    Sincerely, Trish

  16. It's a shame Etsy can't protect the postings in some way. I hope this new method will work for you.

  17. That is just plain sad that people rip other people off. I hope anyone that stole your patterns and tries to use them well...I don't know...I hope they can't get any enjoyment out of them. I am sorry that this happened to you and I am sorry that Etsy can't protect its users better. xo Diana

  18. Your rooster and hen pictures are wonderful!
You have some very sweet patterns for sale. I have my mom-in-laws, I received them after she passed away. I have only done part of one, I really should do more.
    Hugs, Cindy

  19. Great framed roosters - red is the perfect color. Good luck on figuring out your other problem too.

  20. Your adorable kitties are calling my name but I haven't embroidered anything in years. I'm not sure my eyes can see that well anymore. I think selling them from your blog is a wonderful idea, Kimberly!

  21. It must be so frustrating All that work to get Etsy set up and then it doesn't work the way you hoped it would.
This past weekend I took pictures of some more of the vintage tea towels that my grandmother made. (I'll have to do a post soon.) Some of them are similar to your little dolly sweeping.

  22. Your rooster and hen look quite welcoming there! I love the shade of red in the frames.

I'm so sorry that you're having to take extra steps to sell your patterns.

  23. I think you're doing pretty well! And, we ALL have so much to learn.

    All joys,

  24. Your patterns are so cute Kimberly. I hope it all works out for you in the sales. I have 2 sweet vintage laundry bags with dutch scenes on them. I should post pictures of them soon. I laughed at your comment about the ginger beer. My husband used to drink it a few years ago. I never liked it as it's too strong but dry ginger ale is a favorite with us now. I hope you have a wonderful day! Pam
