A Sigh of Relief...

If you read my post yesterday, ladies, you'll understand and appreciate this photo today. Yes, the interview is over and I'm sighing with relief!
I believe it went well at this phase, but I still have to turn in my references and have another phone interview with my interviewers boss. Yeh.
I don't have much else to share today, but I did see a few really neat ideas on Pinterest that I thought might click with some of you too. I haven't pinned them to my account, so if you like them you'll need to copy them from here.

This is such an amazing idea for covering those ugly looking furnace thermostats. I think whoever dreamed this one up should patent it!

This hideaway always makes me think of Corrie Ten Booms story. Let us hope we never have any need for a secret place, but I think it's a neat idea all the same.

Do you need a cake server? I just changed the glass shades out on my ceiling fan last week and have four of these sitting in my closet. This would make a nice gift for someone.

I'm not sure you can tell very well from this photo, but this is chicken wire that has strips of sheer fabric woven through it. I really could see this in my bathroom window. And how easy would that be to do? Very!

If you are one of those persons who doesn't mind their dog sleep with them, this might be a project to consider. I, personally, do not allow children or animals in my bed, unless my little one was sick. I'm such a bed hog myself. But I do have friends whose dogs or cats sleep at the foot of their bed and this seems like a good alternative to me!
Thanks to all of you who sent such words of encouragement to me for my interview-it helped!
Let me know if you decide to try any of the projects I've posted. I'd love to see your version of it.
Blessing-Kimberly

  3. Your story is so like Sankewi. :D If you want that job, may it be yours!

I also like the thermostat cover, but wouldn't it mess with a thermostat's efficacy?

  6. Kimberly,

I'm happy to hear the interview went well. You have to wait on a phone interview with the big boss, interesting!

Remember to breath and talk slow, not fast......good luck :-)

I love the idea of stairs under the kitchen island, this make it hard to find the steps.

  8. I feel so out of it, I had to go back and read your posts. I am so glad it is all over. I am the same way, I don't have any goodies in the house at all right now and it is for all of the reasons you describe. I was at the grocery store and I walked by a bag of trail mix and I knew if I even put that in my basket I would eat the whole thing.
I hope it works out for you and you are excited about the job.

  9. I love that dog bed. I'm not sure how a 4 pound dog manages to take half the bed, but she does!

  15. I am glad you are feeling less stressed today. I am willing to bet you did a great job on your interview. And yes, sometimes all we can do is "leave it in God's hands"
When we got our standard poodle we decided right then and there to NO let her on the bed. She is big and all legs. She sleeps on the floor beside us and is happy to be there,

Those were some great ideas you found on pinterest. Thanks for sharing. The termostat cover is my favorite.

  18. Some really cute ideas here, Kimberly. That first one is a cover for a garage door opener. You can't really cover a thermostat or it won't function properly- don't ask me HOW I know that!

Glad the job interview went okay- on pins and needles time now- xo Diana
