Cornucopia of Thoughts

Have you read any of advice that's offered concerning presenting a good post? Well, I have. And I distintly remember that one of the rules of good posting is to try to stick to one subject. In other words don't write a post that's all over the map!
I have to admit that I've broken this rule many times, but today I'm going to break it in a big way!
Sorry, I just have too many things to share......

First, let me introduce you to:
Samuel Brigam Quinn Lowes
He's the newest of our nine g'children.
He resembles his big brother Reece and his Daddy already- he's such a cutie!

Next we had company today. Guess who was back?

If you guessed Bob, you're absolutely right.
I didn't get his picture this time, but I know from his footprints he's come a calling. This photo was from last winter.  Maybe he won't be so bashfull next time!

It was so blustery today that I ask (made) Tim pose for a photo to show how windy it was. But somehow
the picture doesn't capture it very well.
I had a root crop recipe to share also, but frankly I've lost my steam. I'm still using the HTML to upload, which takes a little longer. So a much as I know you're all going to be greatly disappointed in me not sharing my recipe with you:), I'm going to let it pass this time.

I hope you have a great weekend, friends!

  3. Welcome to Samuel.
I didn't know there were blog rules, except for my rules as it is my blog. And even then I don't follow my own rules. But I have fun, and that is what is important.

It is quite cold down here in eastern Ontario, no snow, but a bit coming overnight.

  4. Who made those ridiculous rules? That's not the way conversation with friends works, but then I've been told that "blogging is not conversation with friends." Who made THAT rule?

What a cutie pie! How fun that he is going to look like his daddy and big brother.

I can tell it's windy. Your hubby has that look of grit and the snow is fuzzy behind him as if it is blowing.

  5. Oh I break the rules a lot too Kimberly. I like to see different topics in a post. Doesn't bother me at all. Samuel is a handsome baby and has a beautiful name. So Bob is back eh? I don't know if I'd like to see him face to face or not. It's -20 here this morning, I think the coldest morning this winter, so far. I'll be staying indoors today. Have a great weekend and stay warm. Hugs, Pamela

  10. Congratulations on that beautiful wee boy!
Rules in blogging? The only rule I'd obey is 'write something that people will want to read' and you always do that.

  11. Kimberly, You have a new warm g'baby to snuggle with while the winds are blowing. That cat is way bigger than my neighbor's barn cats.:) You owe your husband a toasty warm hug. Enjoy your weekend. xoxo,Susie

What an adorable grandson, way too cute!! Just one more to smuggle with!

As for Bob, that's one puttycat I don't want to run into!

Stay inside and have a great weekend!! Yep, curl up with a cup of tea and a good book, or sewing, or you know the routine, stay warm!!

  13. Congratulations on your new grandbaby!

I don't know why you're using html to upload. Guess I missed the reasoning for that. But let me give you a suggestion on recipes. I put mine on Goggle Documents, create a pdf file, and then add a blog link to it. That way people can save the file to their computer and easily print it out. It's also more convenient for you too!

Here's an example on my blog.

  14. First of all, I have to let you know that your kitchen redo is fabulous!
And for that matter, so is the rest of you home.

I'm breaking the posting rules, too.
My comment will be on several subjects.
Thank you for answering my question about g'children
    **** 9 ****! How wonderful.
Your neck of the woods is really beautiful and the track marks, well that is amazing!

Have a good weekend and keep your camera handy. Bob might be just around the corner.

  21. OMG! I had no idea you were supposed to stick to one topic per post! LOL! I never do...maybe that's my problem! LOL! Where do you get this info about blogging?
Your grandson is darling! Did you make that little hat for him? 9 grandchildren? You look so young!

  22. Your new g'baby is a darling! And I wouldn't be too impressed to find Bobcat tracks around my house, of course I live in town, you must not, eh?
Please do share the recipe next time. Who cares if you don't stick to one subject? Not me. :)
    Hugs, Cindy
