Another Project

This is the inspiration for my latest project.
Isn't it pretty?
This is what I have done so far.
I'm at the Lodge and didn't bring all of my fabrics,
so I am limited in my choices.
Since I am only making it to serve as a couch
blanket, so I think I have enough for that.
This is the view out the front window at the Lodge.
It is another dreary day here again.
We have already had snow and more is on the way.

Now maybe you can understand why I am doing so much sewing.
It's my therapy!!
I'll keep you posted on the progress of the quilt.
Happy Monday

  1. Morning Kimberly, looks like the view out my window, no end to winter........Love the colors of your quilt your making, so pretty...... Happy Sewing, Francine.

  2. It sounds like good therapy to me. This is shaping up to be the winter that never ends! I hope your Spring fabrics inspire a change in the weather :)

  3. Hi Kimberly, So glad you have your sewing to occupy your time. I wish the weather would improve for your area. It may rain here today..hope there's sun on and off at least. xoxo,Susie

  4. The inspiration quilt is beautiful, and so is your own. I don't know where I would be in winter without the lap quilts my sister has made me.

  5. good Morning Kimberly..
Beautiful...Beautiful quilt. What a wonderful talent to have. I love quilts, but I just don't have the talent to make them.
    Blessings this day..

  6. It looks very nice I think it would be fun to sew something like that. Gosh all of that snow! I think it looks pretty though, but then I am not there.

  7. I love that quilt pattern & fabrics!!! Are you using repros or old fabric, vintage sheets, or all of above?!?
BTW: temps will be near 90 this week in FL...not quilting weather at all!

  8. Yes sewing is great therapy huh? Love the colors of the quilt, and will anxiously be watching for updates. Enjoy your day!

  9. You are back at the Lodge? Why? For how long? All Summer?

Glad you have sewing for therapy. "Busy hands and minds will not let a heart grow heavy."

  10. Oh my, Kimberly, you really need to surround yourself in colourful fabrics to cheer yourself up. There is still a LOT of snow there! I hope you're taking lots of Vit. D and C. :) I'm glad you have some fabric to work with and make something pretty and bright. Hugs, Pam

  11. I'm excited to hear some more of your fun adventures this summer...remember the toaster episode....still makes me chuckle! Heidi
I'm with you no more snow!

  12. Good luck with your quilt! You're off to a great start on it already. The fabrics are all so pretty.

  13. You need the beautiful quilt colors to offset the cloudy days. I love the inspiration quilt, so pretty. It was a nice weekend, but we'll be having some gloomy days with rain this week. Maybe I'll get some blog reading done. There's lots of pretty things to look at here in blogland!

  14. Burr, just looking out that window, makes me shutter. It has been extremely windy and cool here but at least our snow is gone. Hope you can dream in color while sewing!

  15. So pretty.
I like lap quilts...just enough for those chilly occasions.
I do see why your sewing right now...I do the same thing with my crocheting in the dead of summers...when its 110° outside!

  16. Kimberly, enjoy the snow, it means there are many , definitely lots and lots of days inside, sewing for comfort, and a lovely pattern, I do like your bright colours. Cheers from Jean

  17. Got snow today -- in lovely Dutch John -- I want a quilt like that - super nice.... and the colors I lovvvvvvvvvvvve.
Nice view from the window.. mine today was not so big - like to have a big window to look out from -- can't wait to see the finished quilt!!! keep safe..

  18. Well, are you working hard or hardly working? I call it cozy, not dreary but then it was 73 here today and my grass need mowing! LOL! It's always something but Spring and Summer are a double workload for me so maybe that's why the longer Winter sticks around the less I have to do! LOL!

  19. oh my goodness! it looks so cold!! love your quilt, how clever of you!

  20. We got some snow here today and there'll be more tomorrow. That little quilt's going to be great! Mimi

  21. That quilt is gorgeous and I know your's will be too!! Enough snow already...What a crazy weather year!

  22. Sewing with all those luscious colours will surely banish the winter doldrums!

  23. That scene is somewhat depressing. The good news is that once it starts to go, it'll go fast. I can definitely see the need to stay busy and floral fabrics would be a great antidote for all that white.

  24. That is some gorgeous inspiration there!! It must be so cozy to sew inside when it looks like that outside!
