Bathroom Organizing

With so many of us concentrating our efforts on getting our home better organized, I
decided to review the tips I used in organizing my own bathroom.
Begin with a silver-plated condiment holder and five clear glasses.

I filled mine with cotton balls, Q-Tips, lipsticks, tweezers,
clippers, etc.
This sits, with a mouthwash filled brandy decanter, on the
corner of the bathroom counter handy for a quick grab.
On a decorative silver-plated tray, I've filled one French canning jar with bath salts, another
with Epsom salts, and a sugar decanter with my body powder. This sits on one of the shelves
in my white glassed front bathroom cabinet. The cabinet also houses our bathroom papers,
towels, shampoo, etc.
And there you have it-a quick re-run and maybe some food for thought in re purposing some
of your old kitchen glass wares.
I am partying today with:
Don't forget tomorrow I'm starting a new weekly feature.
Hope to see you then!

  3. Looks very pretty and, yes, you did introduce some new ideas to me. There are so many things I could do if I leave this computer behind.

  4. I love these ideas. I might borrow some in the future, but first I am working on my basement spare room, then I can tackle the bathroom. Have a great day.

  6. You are going to roll your eyes, but this is exactly what I was looking for. I don't have an original bone in my body when it comes to decorating, and last week I was in Home Sense looking around and just knowing that I'd seen something like this for bathrooms, but not able to remember what it was. I will have to print the pictures or at least write myself instructions! I am dying to get my cotton balls etc out of bags under the counter. Love it!

  10. How gorgeous! I LOVE your bathroom and that beadboard! You and I have the same taste - our bath is done in the same colors.

Thanks for the great ideas! Now I have NEVER thought about using a decanter for mouthwash! I am going to use your idea!!! So much prettier than the Scope plastic bottle.

  13. Hi Kimberley! You've done a great job with your pretty bathroom. I'm getting ready to tackle both of mine. I love the thought of crochet around a vintage rug! It's the first thing I thought when I saw the RA one. I've peeked through a few posts of your adventurous blog. Love it! Glad you found The Country Diary too. I've had my copy since it was first published. A lot of Michigan transplants live in NM. We all like the warmish winters! :)

  16. I love your ideas and I love the beadboard in your bathroom. That's what we're going to do if we ever get back to our bathroom remodel project. It was postponed and now awaiting the carpenter again. Sigh. We did go ahead and paint the upper walls. I like your blue.
