Wawa Blueberry Coffeecake

As many of you know my DH and I drove to Wawa last summer to pick blueberries. This
was great, but since my husband never eats sweets I don't get an opportunity to bake much
with them.
But last weekend my SIL & MIL were here, so I whipped together this Blueberry Cream Cheese
Coffeecake. To me, everything taste better with cream cheese in it!! Don't you agree? The recipe
was  found at allrecipes.com. It was yummy, but  I have to admit, a little dry. If I make it again
I'll check it 10 minutes earlier than the recipe calls for.
I want to draw your attention to this sweet tableware set.
I bought the four piece table setting at Value Village for only $1.99.
I'm always whining about how high Value Village is these days.
I can imagine in my mind some nerdy fellow sitting in far recesses
of their warehouse surfing the net to find the highest possible prices
they can put on their merchandise these days. It kind of takes the fun
out of  shopping there . But every once in a while I do find a
steal, so I keep hunting. I figure even Mr. Nerdy has to sick once
a while!
Here is another photo from Saturday. We have had more snow these last few days than we've
had all winter. It's not deep, but it is putting a pretty coating on everything again. Now that
is how I like my winter! Is anyone else out there getting some lovely winter weather?
Well, better late than never, I say!
Blessings-Kimberly

I agree with the prices at secondhand stores. I have noticed big increases. But you did score on the cute tableware.

  5. Oh, I love your pictures of the snow and the lake. It was actually in the 70's today and I hung clothes outside and had the windows open. My daffodils are blooming so it's pretty Spring like here...should be on it's way to you soon also.
Loved what you did to that rug. I may have to try that with a few of mine. I love the look of it. I also love that silverware! I would have asked you where you got it because it is so cute! I love it and so glad you got such a deal on it! You go girl!

  8. I have blueberries in my freezer....I might need to look that recipe up! Maybe the extra moisture from the berries being frozen will take care of any dryness. :)
Old Man Winter has finally come to Minnesota....two more days of snow storms predicted yet this week. Love your red table setting!

  9. Hi Kimberly, the coffee cake sounds yummy especially with your own picked berries. They just taste better than imported ones don't they? We had a mild day here and another couple coming before we get some snow Friday night. I went to VV last week but didn't find anything. Maybe I'll try tomorrow. Hugs, Pam

  16. Your cake looks yummy and yes EVERYTHING tastes better with cream cheese. I also agree about value village. The prices can be outrageous, but then once in awhile you find that deal on just the thing you wanted. You have to be commited to going and looking and often being disappoined. LOL. Have a great day.
