I Did Something Wicked

I bought this adorable terrier cookie jar for myself. I couldn't help it; he's so darn cute. I thought
about waiting until Christmas was over and then he might be half price. But there were only two!
Now you know he's not going to be there after Christmas is over. Which is why he's now sitting in my home. So what's so wicked about buying a cute cookie jar if one likes it?
You already know that Christmas is just around the corner. But what's really bad is that I also have a birthday and an anniversary this month. So I really shouldn't be buying presents for myself, should I?  I felt really greedy; I even took it back and put it on the shelf. But self won out and he came home with me. I want you to know my guilt is over and I am thoroughly enjoying him

My sewing is coming along well. I have one blanket done and hope to finish the other two today.
Have a great day friends,

  2. Oh he's cute. I bought something for myself last weekend - very rare for me. I saw on Amazon that The Natalie Wood collection of 6 films was on sale for $18 and I bought it - she's always been my favorite actress and my old boss kept my copy of Splendor in the Grass. Once in a while we just deserve to treat ourselves - even if it is the holidays.

  3. Sometimes you just have to do that, especially when you know he would have been gone.
I always feel really guilty about things like that too.
Have a lovely day sewing. It is a good day for that.

  5. Your scottie dog is sweet and it can be a birthday/anniversary gift to you. I bought 2 of those tiny 'putz' houses yesterday and felt guilty too. (no birthday or anniversary either) Have a great day! And enjoy your dog. :)

  9. Well...
I've heard it said that we should celebrate Christmas all year long.

You're just taking that sentiment to heart :)

I love the cookie jar, and you will smile every time you look at it. It will be a little bit of Christmas spirit...all year long .

When you buy something after Christmas you can't enjoy it until next year. Now it's on display all month long!

  13. If you really really want it, then you had no choice. The good thing is that you can have a clear conscience because you paid for it. Soo... now it's yours to enjoy. JB

  14. Well, let me see. You have a birthday and an anniversary this month and Christmas is just around the corner. So you bought yourself one gift. The way I see it, you still owe yourself two more gifts!! haha! There's absolutely nothing wrong with buying yourself a gift. After all who would know better than you what kind of gifts you like? :D Enjoy! It really is adorable.

  17. I knew there was SOME reason I liked you- You are wicked good! I love your Scotty dog and it would never have been there later. My mother-in-law used to collect Scotty items and it was almost impossible to find them.

Hope your week is a good one so far-we are busy with new baby here still! xo Diana

  19. Cute find...you couldnt pass him up! It just means NEXT time you find something fun, you can wait til it is on sale. Everything in moderation, right?! lol~ I know how you feel. I have a birthday just days after Christmas, but always end up finding something I cannot live without at this time of the yr because of the bargains/sales...and it WILL NOT be there if I wait! hahah

  23. Are you kidding...a birthday and anniversary and Christmas in one month is the perfect reason to shop for yourself! My birthday is the 23rd...two days before...and I always buy myself all sorts of little things, while I'm supposed to be shopping for others! LOL
Plus, that cookie jar is just too cute!

  28. It is always fun to buy a gift for yourself. Now you have to bake cookies to fill it up. Sounds like a busy month ahead for you with lots of celebrations.
